Prize-winning Rally Driver Praises the Ignis

Caribbean pro driver Sean Gill guided a Suzuki Ignis to its first group win in the Super 1600 class of the Texaco International All Stages Rally 2002. The 2WD Ignis topped its class and took ninth place overall against 4WD turbo opposition.
Said Gill of the RallySprint Super 1600 Ignis modified by Caribbean dealer Simpson Motors from a 1.3-litre 3-door production model into their first rally car: “In my entire rallying career, I have never driven a car as good as the Suzuki Ignis. The handling is phenomenal: as much as I push the car to its limits, it still has more to give,“ enthused the two-time winner of Barbados Rally Club's “Driver of the Year.”

A true life Suzuki fan demonstrated his great affection for the brand during the recent launch of the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 motorcycle in South Africa.
