American Suzuki Holds 2003 National Sales Meeting

At the American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) national sales meeting of the marine division held 4 August in Biloxi, Mississippi, ASMC announced that the 2002 model outboard motor DF140 has earned the highest US sales of any Suzuki outboard in history and superb customer satisfaction index rating.
Despite the precipitous drop in overall boat and motor sales in US since 2000, Suzuki’s outboard market share has steadily increased, thanks to aggressive development of new 4-stroke outboards. “Nobody has converted from 2-stroke to 4-stroke technology faster than Suzuki,” said Mr. Manabu Nakamura, Senior General Manager of Marine & Power Products Division for Suzuki Motor Corporation at the meeting, expressing his gratitude to dealers for the successful sales campaign. He also unveiled a plan to introduce the first prototype of production models slated for 2004, the Suzuki V-6 4-strokes, at the Miami Boat Show this coming February.
