Water Ski Club in China Relies on Suzuki Outboards  The
Baihua Water Ski Club, located in Zengcheng Baihua Villa Holiday Village about
three hours from Hong Kong by train, offers 100 rooms and excellent facilities
including swimming pool, tennis court, sauna, bowling alleys, basketball court,
restaurants and conference rooms. Patronage of the club, which opened in April
1999, reached a record 2000 skiers in 2000.The Club has three Suzuki-powered boats: an 18’ Sleekcraft ski boat with 4-stroke outboard DF115, a 17’ speedboat with DF70 and a boat with 2-stroke outboard DT150. The Club membership particularly appreciates the DF70 and DF115’s low fuel consumption. The engines are clean and quiet, as well as less damaging to the environment, and skiers find the Suzuki 4-stroke engines to be as powerful as 2-stroke engines. Motor Boating magazine Editors’ Choice Award has gone to Suzuki Marine, one
of nine winners. Suzuki was highly evaluated for its development and production
of smaller, lighter, 4-stroke DF90 and DF115 outboard motors as new models in
2001.U.S.-based Motor Boating magazine Editor’s Choice Award is a prestigious recognition of leading manufacturers by the internationally known boating consumer publication. New products are evaluated by members of the Motor Boating editorial staff on such factors as innovative design, technical excellence, and benefit to the boating community. Products are chosen for nomination by the editorial staff from all available products across a wide range of categories, based on merit. The 2001 Motor Boating Editors’ Choice Award winners were named in a special feature article in the magazine’s December 2000 issue and highlighted on its website. The winning manufacturers were also recognized during the Miami International Boat Show in February. |
