Suzuki Off-Road Team in Turkey Celebrates Racing Successes

Suzuki Off-Road Team Turkey sponsored by Suzuki Otomobil Pazarlama ve Ticaret A.S. - Turkey, has competed since 2001 in the Turkish Off-Road Championship driving the Grand Vitara 3-door 1.6-litre JLX. Team drivers-Mehmet Becce and co-driver Hakan Budak, and Feza Aytac and co-driver Zafer Iseri-Captured the Brands Championship Cup in N1 Group for three consecutive years and in the last two years won Category Championships in N1 Group.
   In honour of the Team successes, Suzuki Otomobil Pazarlama ve Ticaret A.S. organized Celebration Night on 24 December, 2003 for team members, Suzuki staff and media. The celebration in Q Jazz Bar, a very popular Istanbul nightspot, also introduced the new Grand Vitara 3-door 2.0-litre and Jimny 1.3-litre JLX racing cars.
     
  Suzuki Ibéica Sponsors First Dealer Meeting in Spain

Suzuki Ibérica organized Spain's first Suzuki dealer meeting in Madrid on 25 November, 2003. Attended by representatives of all 66 Spanish dealerships, the event began with a welcoming speech by Koji Tarumoto, President of Suzuki Ibérica. Juan Lopez Frade, General Manager of the Commercial Department and Roger Van Dyck, General Manager of the After-Sales Department explained the main functions of their respective departments. New products to be marketed in 2004 and the Concept-S were also introduced.
   Founded in 2003 as the exclusive Suzuki automobile distributor in Spain for imported cars from Japan, India and Hungary, Suzuki Ibérica's head office is in Leganés in Madrid. On 2 January, 2004 Suzuki Ibérica distributed the first imported vehicles to the Spanish dealership from the port of Barcelona.
   
  Latin America Distributors Meet in Chile

Fourteen distributors participated in the third annual Latin America Automobile Distributor Meeting, held 13·4 April in Santiago, Chile. Executive Vice President Sokichi Nakano attended the conference, where staff members of Product Planning from Suzuki Motor Corporation gave a presentation on the details of Suzuki's new models and future product planning.
   Market trends and high-profile business activities were reported by several distributors ·including Vehículos de Trabajo S.A. of Costa Rica, Suzuki del Caribe of Puerto Rico and Interamericana Trading Corporation of the Caribbean ·followed by lively discussion.
   Derco S.A. of Chile outlined their efforts in the increasingly important used-car business, as well as in financing and insurance. All the participants toured Derco S.A.'s sales outlets in Santiago to observe and learn from their facilities and activities in this promising business segment.
   Suzuki Motor Corporation will continue to support this annual conference, which was held in Puerto Rico in 2002 and in Costa Rica in 2003.
   
  Puerto Rican Distributor Celebrates the 25th Anniversary

Suzuki del Caribe Inc. (SDC), Suzuki distributor in Puerto Rico, celebrated their 25th anniversary in San Juan on 17 April.
   SDC, which was established in 1979 with staff of ten, sold only 975 units in their first year. But thanks to distinctive sales and customer satisfaction strategies, the distributor has grown steadily, selling 11,940 units and gaining a national market share of 9.72 % (third place among all auto brands) in 2003.
