European Press Responds Warmly to Ignis Test Rides

On September 1 through 5, Suzuki offered test rides of the Ignis, with cooperation of French distributor Suzuki France S.A.S., to automotive journalists from all over Europe at Divonne-les-Bains, France, in the suburbs of Geneva, Switzerland. The 50 vehicles test driven at the event included petrol-engine models in either 2WD and 4WD versions and 2WD diesel-engine models, all manufactured at Magyar Suzuki Corporation. Several other Suzuki cars were displayed at the site. The two-day programme of press conference and test rides was repeated four times, for a total of 210 journalists from 18 countries and 44 personnel from European distributors.
The press conference on the first day featuring a promotional video was highly praised by distributors. The second day's test rides offered two courses: the 110km 1.5-hour course covered highways, city streets and winding mountain roads, while the 23km short course took about 45 minutes through city and suburbs.
The Ignis stood up to tough scrutiny from journalists and distributors, winning kudos for interiors and exteriors that stand out among European cars, and praise for the good torque of the diesel engine.

Ms. Klochkova with her Grand Vitara

Auto International Co., with 14 years experience in the Ukrainian automobile market, decided in 1996 to provide material support to the national team of Ukraine as they prepared for the Atlanta Olympics, as a way of helping to raise the country's image in the world community. As both a general sponsor and sponsor to eight members of the Ukraine team, the company helped make possible the country's ninth place standing in Atlanta.
In March, 2000, Auto International became an official distributor of Suzuki automobiles in Ukraine, where the winning sports connection has helped the brand become known for reliability and dynamic performance.
At the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Auto International sponsored nine members of the Ukraine National Team. Among those, Yana Klochkova won two gold and one silver medals and Denis Silantiev a silver medal. Auto International presented Klochkova with a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
In January 2003 the company signed sponsoring agreements with Yana Klochkova and Oleg Lisogor, for scholarships intended to provide appropriate training, plus Suzuki cars for gold medal winners and Suzuki motorbikes for silver medal performances in the next Olympic games in Athens.
At the World Championship of water sports in Barcelona July 2003, Auto International's scholarship recipient Yana Klochkova won a gold medal in the individual 200-meter medley event, turning in a new 2 min. 10.75 sec. record for the World Championship. She also won the individual 400-meter medley event with 4 min. 41.82 sec, capturing the world championship for the 10th time.
